Todd Craig
A product of Ravenswood and Queensbridge Houses in Queens, New York, Dr. Todd Craig is a writer, educator and DJ whose career meshes his love of writing, teaching and music. He is the author of “K for the Way”: DJ Rhetoric and Literacy for 21st Century Writing Studies (Utah State University Press), which examines the hip-hop DJ as twenty-first century new media reader and writer and investigates the modes and practices of the DJ as creating the discursive elements of DJ rhetoric and literacy.
Cathey White
Cathey White is an artist, educator and native of Philadelphia. She holds a BFA in fine art and education from Moore College of Art & Design. White’s paintings and drawings speak to the beauty and color that can be found throughout the muted background of the city. White's work explores local architecture, urban archaeology and the grittier side of the city. The urban environment and the beauty found in typically unnoticed places inspire White.
Tonya Cherie Hegamin
Tonya is a Type 1 Diabetic with a medical alert service dog, Rambo. She has worked with organizations like Women Against Rape, Police Athletic League and Planned Parenthood since 1998. Her experience as a patient and victim advocate and community educator stems from her personal journey as a bisexual and chronically ill woman of color. Her advocacy focuses on medical bias and seeking legal accommodations in higher education and work settings. She also supports patients and medical professionals suffering from social stigmas of health through the lens of Narrative Medicine.
